CE Harrod Pharmacy takes your privacy seriously. This is how we will do this.
Information we may collect:
We will collect email addresses, which will be held securely and be used for administration or promotions/may be sold to selected partners whom we believe have offers of interest. You may opt out from receipt of promotions.
Registration. We will ask for your name, email address, postal address, and other information as part of the checkout process.
We may also use cookies. These are small files that many websites transfer to your hard disc, and tell the website about your visit preferences. You can normally set your browser to inform you, refuse, or accept. If not accepted, certain parts of the website may not be accessible or will require repeated logins.
How users can modify or delete their personal information
Our records are of two forms. Email address records, which, if used for e-shots, have an opt-out. The second form is name and address data from site purchases (sales records). If you want to have these records deleted, simply contacting us giving your name and email addresses you may have used, and we will delete your sales records. We are unable to modify existing sales records, but new ones will ask for current information.
How do we use this information?
We use the information to communicate with you, promote our products and services, our selected partner services and give you a more pleasant web viewing experience. If you are an online purchaser, the information is used to verify you are a customer and deliver goods and services to you. All information is managed and secured in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act and current email marketing regulations.
When would we share information?
We do not sell your personal information to others. We will share your information with selected partners who we believe offer relevant products and services. We will require these partners to list their own privacy policies agreed with us. We will offer choices when we ask you for this information. You may give your agreement for this when completing a registration or response and opt out at any time afterwards.

What information do we collect about you and how we use it:
We process your personal data, which includes your name, contact details, prescription medicines and data from other pharmacy and health care services we provide to you (including, for example, pharmacy medicines, medicine use reviews, flu vaccinations and stop smoking services) for the purposes of:
- Your care – providing pharmacy services and care to you and, as appropriate, sharing your information with your GP and others in the wider NHS;
- Our payments – sharing your information with the NHS Business Services Authority, others in the wider NHS, and sometimes Local Authorities, and only limited information to those external to the NHS who negotiate and check the accuracy of our payments; and,
- Management – sharing only limited information with the NHS Business Services Authority and others in the wider NHS, and sometimes Local Authorities; as well as those external to the NHS who ensure we maintain appropriate professional and service standards and that your declarations and ours are accurate.
- Health and Wellbeing News, Marketing and Prescription Reminders – We notify you that your prescription is ready to collect from the pharmacy, the way in which we do this is via SMS text message, if you have consented to receiving reminders in this way, you may opt out at a later date. Occasionally, we send you information about products and services of ours which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date. We never share your details with third parties for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to receive marketing news, please contact us via the details below.
We comply with the NHS Code of Practice on Confidential Information and pharmacists have a requirement under their professional standards to keep records about you confidential, secure and accurate. All of our staff contracts of employment contain a requirement to keep patient information confidential.
Access to your information and/or Unsubscribing:
We hold your information for as long as advised by the NHS. You have a right to a copy of the information we hold about you, generally without charge. You may seek to correct any inaccurate information that we hold or object to us holding your information. Please contact us if you have questions or wish to ‘unsubscribe’ to our services.
